SizeTube (beta) is part of the open social web. Vidra speaks three open protocols, so channels and videos are not locked to one company's servers.

ActivityPub

The fediverse standard. Public channels and videos federate to Mastodon, PeerTube, and other ActivityPub software.

Bluesky

Published videos can cross-post to the ATProto network, reaching the Bluesky community from the same upload.

IPFS

Content-addressed storage lets videos be served and verified from a distributed network rather than one origin.

Federation enabled

Public content can reach compatible Fediverse software, and remote content can appear on this instance when its policies allow it.

Channel-level relationships

Vidra federates individual channels rather than exposing one instance-wide follower graph. Followers and remote relationships therefore belong to channel pages.

Local moderation remains in control

The operator can block remote instances and apply local community rules even while federation is enabled.

Independent instance

SizeTube (beta) owns its availability, registration policy, data, and publishing defaults.

Peers

No instance-wide peer list

Vidra federates at the channel level, so remote connections live on individual channel pages rather than in a single peers directory.
